"There is a special moment in time. A brief moment of mutual respect. A connection between two different species. A beautiful moment that you will carry with you forever".
Shark interaction dive.
Our now world famous shark interaction dives have a unique style. Yes we sometimes feed sharks but here at Ocean fox we never hand feed. We use chumsicles and our self designed underwater feeding device. This simple process of separating food from humans means that we don't have to wear chainmail or use cages like many others. The sharks will approach you and interact with you in a very close up and natural way that is not seen anywhere else in the world. When that apex predator makes eye contact with you as it pass inches from your face there is a moment of connection between 2 different species. A moment of mutual respect and curiosity. It is a beautiful moment in time that you will remember forever. Price: $230.00 + tax per person. Price includes 2 dives, all equipment rental, dive guide, drinking water on the boat. We have a huge range of dive sites available on our doorstep. Apart from the sharks our most popular dive is the "Great wall". The edge starts at around 50-60 feet then drops off to over 2000 feet in places. With some beautiful coral formations and structures down the side of the wall it really is a must see even for inexperienced divers (You don't have to go deep down the wall to enjoy it, you can stay up at the edge 50-60 feet and still experience the vastness of the drop off). We also have more shallow reef dives with natural swim throughs, huge coral heads. A small plane wreck, the famous Cobia cage and Yoda's cave to name but a few. This page is new and will be updated regularly with tours of our dive sites. Also, we are currently seeking out some new and exciting dive sites that have just been revealed and are currently searching for: a Haitian transport ship wreck, a heavily shark populated ocean hole and a regular Tiger shark encounter dive. So stay tuned! You heard it here first. Price: $205 + tax per person. Price includes 2 dives, all equipment hire, dive guide, drinking water on the boat. We accept cash and all major credit cards. Our usual dive day.
We ask guests to arrive at the dive shop at 8.30am. After checking dive certifications/signing forms and sizing equipment the gear is then loaded and assembled for you on the boat by our crew. We usually aim to leave the dock around 9am. We run a 2 tank dive morning starting with the deepest dive first, then after a sufficient surface interval we then follow with the second more shallow dive. Returning you back at the dock in time for you to head to the Harbour Point Restaurant at Cape Eleuthera for lunch and a cocktail by the pool. After collecting your complimentary koozie and souvenir t-shirt from the dive shop you are free to go and enjoy your afternoon. Meanwhile the crew will disassemble and clean the equipment in line with Covid 19 international dive industry regulations. We can also run afternoon trips and private charters for those that prefer.
Please remember to bring proof of diving certification or you will not be allowed to dive.
If you have not dived for a few years we recommend that you complete a refresher course before arriving.
